About Our Society
This society connects those interested in studying, sewing, and dressing in historical Fashion in the Virginia New River Valley area.
Our members attend historical education events, historical balls and sewing circles. The purpose is to connect, share advice and share each other's work, fashion plates, and project ideas. Most of all we have fun!
All historical Clothing is welcome! If you want to come to one of the events but have another era outfit, that's ok too!
How do I join?
Simply connect with us on Facebook. There are no official registration forms or membership fees. It is free, although certain events may require admission.
Is there required expertise?
No. You don't even have to sew or have any special skills. You can come as a beginner or buy ready-made historical or costume pieces to build your wardrobe! Our members can help you get started and help you pick up sewing skills along the way.
